Awesome little glider with bendy nose and the wing geometry of the iconic warbird of WWII, the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt!
This one can glide very slowly. Be gentle to it and it will bring you lots of fun!
Includes full size version and a properly scaled down variant for smaller printers.
Preparations
Bend wings slightly upwards
Bend tail to a V shaped stabilizer
Bend tail slightly upwards directly behind the wings.
Launch
Grab between wings and tail as seen in the picture and throw gently
3D printing settings
Layer height: 0.1mm (works best) – 0.2mm
Infill: 100%
Outer Lines: Min 3
Placement: Glider is rotated 45° in z-axis so that the infill of the first layer goes along the wings. This gives some rigidity when bending the wings and stabilizers.
