I’m trying to restore some saved images to two different volumes on an SD card. I’m getting an error in Disk Utility when I try to restore from the backups: "The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error 22.)"
They’re for a Raspberry Pi using PINN to run multiple operating systems on one SD card. I had to repartition the SD card to install another operating system, and I’m trying to restore backups of the operating systems I had before.
I followed this tutorial to create the backups as .cdr files and attempt to restore them. The issue when trying to restore using Balena Etcher is that it won’t let me select a single volume as the target – it only lets me select the entire SD card and overwrite everything, which I don’t want to do.
I found some other suggestions to use Carbon Copy Cloner to do the restore, but when trying that, Carbon Copy Cloner wouldn’t let me choose a .cdr file as the source.
How might I either get the restore to work, or open the .cdr files and transfer the files individually?
Searching for ways to open a .cdr file came up with a bunch of results for Corel Draw files, which is obviously not what I want.
