I’m trying to automate the conversion of HEIC photos to JPEG on iOS. Whenever I take a photo in HEIC (High Efficiency), I want it to automatically convert to JPEG and save in a specific folder in the Files app (e.g., On My iPhone > Images).
The goal is to quickly share JPEGs on social media or with friends/family who don’t use Apple devices. After sharing, I plan to delete the JPEGs since the original HEICs are already stored in Photos and take up less space.
I’m new to iOS Shortcuts and Automation, so I’d really appreciate help setting this up. I’ve tried building a Shortcut, but it’s saving blank images instead of proper JPEGs. What am I doing wrong?
