sic-enhancements-main.pngAchieve a new level of visibility and sustainability management with the latest release of the HPE Sustainability Insight Center, a service on HPE GreenLake. The platform is AIOps-driven, API-driven, and expansible, delivering a unified experience to multiple teams, including ITOps, DevOps, FinOps, and GreenOps. Using HPE GreenLake’s foundational services for hybrid cloud operations and automation, HPE Sustainability Insight Center expands its supported ecosystem to now include support for:

  • Ability to monitor heterogeneous on-premises IT environments by enabling custom report uploads from outbound IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions
  • Enablement of customer-specific power costs and carbon emission coefficient providing improved accuracy
  • Dark/dim sites and any disconnected IT infrastructure
  • Aggregated view of telemetry/data sources to provide energy and carbon emissions reporting through a unified dashboard
  • Ease of operations through support for hostnames for ease of integration and management of devices, localization settings, and language preferences

In addition to the multivendor support that was previously announced, HPE Sustainability Insight Center helps you achieve your sustainable IT goals by visualizing carbon emissions and energy consumption where your data is stored, connected, and computed. HPE GreenLake provides our customers with a secure cloud operational experience backed by AIOps, reduced complexity, cost, and risk of operating your heterogeneous IT landscape, all while accelerating your sustainability outcomes. Leading companies worldwide are embracing sustainability as part of their digital transformation initiatives—helping them grow stronger, more resilient, and better able to accelerate their data-first strategy.

The latest enhancements to the HPE Sustainability Insight Center were designed to help you realize your transformation. HPE’s mission for the HPE Sustainability Insight Center is to empower you to make impactful changes, lower costs, and achieve sustainable IT goals. The HPE Sustainability Insight Center helps you accomplish these targets through innovative capabilities such as supporting heterogeneous IT environments, unified dashboard and reporting, and more. The fact that the HPE Sustainability Insight Center is an integral part of HPE GreenLake reduces complexity and siloed operations that can increase costs and risk.

The HPE Sustainability Insight Center gives you a current view of the total energy consumption for IT devices that source data from:

  • HPE GreenLake Compute Ops Management and HPE GreenLake for Compute Ops Management – One View Edition
  • Aruba Access Points managed by Aruba Central
  • OpsRamp for multivendor devices

HPE GreenLake for File Storage and HPE GreenLake for Block Storage built on HPE Alletra Storage MP are also providing data accessed through the Data Services Cloud Console as part of the SaaS subscription.

HPE provides a data source aggregation module for ease of viewing, enabling customers to manage and review plugged-in data sources supplying power information.

Data collected includes information on greenhouse gas emissions and costs associated with energy consumption. HPE Sustainability Insight Center then:

  • Measures the carbon footprint of IT assets based on actual energy usage
  • Analyzes telemetry aggregated across sites and provides cumulative totals and averages
  • Reports carbon footprint and energy costs across sites (per device and site location)
  • Reports energy consumption data from devices

With this insightful data, you can make informed decisions about your IT infrastructure’s energy consumption and environmental impact. HPE Sustainability Insight Center empowers you to drive positive change while optimizing operational performance.

Continuing enhancements to the HPE Sustainability Insight Center demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and innovation. Stay tuned for more great things to come! We will keep you informed as HPE continues to evolve and enhance the HPE Sustainability Insight Center to address our customers’ sustainable IT needs.
