TEKNA (OSE: TEKNA), a provider of advanced materials solutions to the industry, has secured four orders for plasma systems, with a combined value of CAD 3.0 million. These include the first sale of the new PlasmaSonic ICPT-15 system.
Tekna’s plasma systems are acclaimed for their state-of-the-art research capabilities in advanced materials, offering various configurations to meet the needs of diverse industries and academic research sectors. Tekna also produces high-purity metal powders for applications such as 3D printing in the aerospace, medical and automotive sectors, as well as optimized induction plasma systems for industrial research and production.
“Again, we show our leading position as the primary provider of advanced plasma systems to industry and academia. Our Systems product line provides a strong foundation for our company, while we continue to increase our own production of advanced materials,” said Luc Dionne, CEO of Tekna.
Three of the orders are from North American clients, while one is from Asia. Notably, one order includes our first sale of the new PlasmaSonic ICPT-15 system, a lab-scale, cost-effective model designed for materials testing and hypersonic program development, which will be utilized by a university in the USA. Two further orders, for the TekSphero-40 and TekSphero-15 systems, will support materials research and development in powder metallurgy for university laboratories. The final order involves retrofitting an existing piece of equipment for a Canadian customer.
The four orders have been booked as order intake in the fourth quarter of 2023.
