On iOS 27 betas I started noticing an unexpected entry listed as com.jamf.jamfnation
None of my devices are at all managed, there are no profiles installed or similar, devices are not provisioned, but I am as far as I’m aware being persistently targeted by someone so I’m wondering whether, and if so how, this might figure in the bigger picture.
Especially since jamfnation as far as I can tell is just their community board stuff, it doesn’t really make any sense.
I have not been visiting any of their websites prior to spotting this.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max in question was bought straight from Apple on release in 2024. It has had minor repairs once for a glitchy mic at a proper authorized service center listed on Apple’s website, under warranty.
I am a freelance software dev and have never had any managed devices. So how did this get in there?
I know at least some of my devices are currently hacked (happens so persistently I’ve basically given up trying to escape it) (see comment for info) by some apparently definitely well resourced lunatic who has been persistently targeting me for at least a decade. So that angle seems most reasonable, question is how to investigate further.
What’s weird and scary is I’m just a regular dude, not a journalist or dissident or such, so awesome organizations like CitizenLab aren’t exactly likely to get involved.
The police are not much help to say the least, I’ve made over 10 police reports over the years about being hacked, impersonated, burgled, followed home and drugged and robbed, mailbox broken into, poisoned, router hacked and DNS hijacked, hacked iPhone X, hacked macbooks again and again etc and each incident is apparently not major enough for them to feel it worth their time to follow up on the evidence I provide, do their jobs and ask Google/FB/Apple/carriers etc for further evidence on who might be behind all this and why.
What might explain this showing up in Screen Time?
